约伯记 17

¹我的气息衰败［breath is corrupt］，我的日子灭尽，坟墓为我预备好了。

²戏笑我的，岂不在我这里吗［Are there not mockers with me］？我眼岂不［not］常见他们惹动我吗。

³如今躺下，使我与你作保［Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee］；谁肯与我击掌呢［who is he that will strike hands with me］？

⁴因你使他们心不明理；所以你必不高举他们。

⁵向他的朋友说奉承话［speaketh flattery to his friends］的，连他儿女的眼睛也要失明。

⁶他［He］又［also］使我作了民中的笑谈；从前我就像鼓一样［and aforetime I was as a tabret］。

⁷我的眼睛也［also］因忧愁昏花，我的百体好像影儿。

⁸正直人因此必惊奇；无辜的人要兴起攻击伪善之人［hypocrite］。

⁹义人且［The righteous also］要持守所行的道，手洁的人要力上加力。

¹⁰至于你们众人，如今［now］再来辩论吧。因为［for］你们中间，我找不着一个智慧人。

¹¹我的日子已经过了，我的谋算、我心所想望的已经断绝。

¹²他们将黑夜变为［change the night into］白昼；亮光因黑暗而短少［is short because of darkness］。

¹³我若等候，坟墓［wait, the grave］为我的房屋；我安了庄［I have made my bed］在黑暗中。

¹⁴我［I］对朽坏说：你是我的父；对虫说：你是我的母亲姐妹。

¹⁵这样，我的盼望［hope］如今［now］在哪里呢？我所盼望［hope］的，谁能看见呢？

¹⁶等到我们［our］安息在尘土中，指望都［they］必下到坑中［pit］的门闩那里了。
